Homeschool Tracker

On a homeschool message board, I was reading some people talking about a "Homeschool Tracker" you can get. So, I googled it, and was checking it out. They have a free basic version, and a Plus version for $49. I downloaded the free version and I'm trying it out. It's really cool! You can put in the start/stop of the school year, keep track of attendance, grades, assignments, hours spent per subject each day, field trips, etc. I'm really excited about it! I spent quite some time getting all our planning done on there! Now, it's pretty much ready to go.

Two more weeks left for this year! We do year round with breaks throughout the year, plus I was trying to get Rachel up to speed on stuff I thought she should have learned last year while in ps, but didn't learn. . . . Our new year will begin on August 11. Rachel will be in 1st/2nd at the beginning, and a pretty much solid 2nd by January this year. Michaela will be doing pre-school. Alyssa is going to be learning motor skills, playing and how to talk. . .lol. We'll be taking days off for my birthday, Labor Day, two weeks off from Sept 22 - Oct 3; and the weeks of Halloween and Thanksgiving; then 3 weeks around Christmas. So, that's our schedule for the next few months till Christmas anyway. We like to take most of our time off during the fall and spring, and not as much time off in the winter and summer since it's too cold/hot to go outside. If you're gonna take time off, might as well be when it's nice enough to enjoy the great outdoors, right!? January, February and March will pretty much be putting our noses to the grindstone! There will be a few weeks off in the spring when we plan to go to Disney World, and around Easter; and a couple weeks off in the summer.
